Hystory:

Co-founder of Apple Inc###. and Pixar, is a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company, of which he is the largest shareholder. He is known for bringing one of the first computers with a mouse and icon interface to the general public. Although the real inventor of the mouse and the graphical interface is Douglas Engelbart. Born to an American mother (Joanne Carole Schieble) and a Syrian father (Abdulfattah "John" Jandali, a student who would later become a professor of political science), Steven Paul was not kept by his birth parents, but was given up for adoption as an infant. The adoption process was troubled and not easy. The child was then adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, residents of Mountain View, in the city of Santa Clara in California.
In 1976, Jobs and his friend Steve Wozniak founded Apple Computer. They produce some of the most successful microcomputer models in history, the Apple II and the Apple Macintosh. In 1985, ousted from Apple Computer due to differences of opinion over the company's management, he founded Next Computer with the aim of creating a new technological revolution. In 1986 he bought Pixar from LucasFilms. The adventure with Next does not go well, the company produces better computers than its competitors but at too high a price and fails to establish itself in the market. In the meantime, Pixar concentrated on the production of computer-based feature films and in 1995 with the production of Toy Story - The World of Toys he managed to break through.
In 1996 Apple Computer was in crisis; The Mac OS operating system, which runs on Apple machines, is now obsolete and the company needs a modern operating system to survive. Therefore, it was decided to buy a software house that had a modern OS, which would later be adapted to the PowerPC machines produced by Apple. At first, the company thought about the acquisition of Be Inc., a software house founded by two Apple defectors: the main candidate to become Apple's new operating system therefore seems to be BeOS, which is already being ported to the PowerPC architecture. Later, Apple Computer contacts Steve Jobs. Jobs presses Apple to acquire Next - in serious crisis - and the deal goes through. NextStep, Next's operating system, became the basis of Apple's future OS, Mac OS X, while the development of the old Mac OS ended with version 9.2.
In 1998, Jobs began a number of interesting projects, including OPENDOC, an open document format standard parallel to the ODF format. While the development of Mac OS X was still in progress, Jobs launched the iMac, a worldwide success, which revived the fortunes of Apple Computer and avoided the company's bankruptcy. 2001 is the year of the official launch of Mac OS X, based on Nextstep, which uses a Unix kernel. With Mac OS X, Apple consolidates its market share. After some time he also decided to launch himself into the digital music sector with the iPod (an advanced MP3 player) and iTunes, a software through which it is also possible to buy music online, which soon established a sales record and was also rewritten for Windows.
In October 2003 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Jobs made it public in July 2004, Jobs refused traditional medical treatments and relied on alternative and homeopathic treatments, accompanied by vegan diets, in fact the tumor he was suffering from was a tumor that could be successfully treated, but his choices led to his death. Due to the disease, Jobs developed type one diabetes. He then temporarily handed over as CEO to Tim Cook, first for two months and then for another six months in 2009. In 2009 he underwent a successful liver transplant, on September 9, 2009 he returned to the stage to present the renewal of the entire iPod range. On January 27, 2010, Jobs unveiled the iPad, Apple's first tablet, at the Apple conference in San Francisco. On January 17, 2011, Apple announced that Steve Jobs had requested a new medical leave, specifying that Jobs would remain CEO of Apple, continuing to deal with major strategic issues. On March 2, 2011, at the iPad 2 unveiling event, he made a surprise appearance on stage. On August 24, he resigned as Apple's CEO. He died at his home in Palo Alto, California on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56.
